Lunch at the World Cafe at about 130pm.

Of the four filled tables one was of 5 people, another 4 people, still another 4 people and us who were two people. Not busy. Seated by hoistess to clean table without silverware or napkins. Severperson Ray (hard to hear him speak even although music was soft and low) timidly took drink order. Came back with drinks of plain ice tea and a lemonade without much taste, actually tasted as if from a powdered mix and the thermometer is reading 70's, and even a slice of lemon would have helped, but alas no lemon slice or wedge for lemonade.

When asked about wheat bread for the club sandwich, Ray said yes, as well as to well-cooked bacon and reg. fries. Other person with me ordered Chicken Shwarma and sweet potato fries. Ten minutes later when silverware and napkins arrived via another waitperson, Ray came back and informed that no wheat bread for club only white burger bun or white bread, and no other breads kept in
the restaurant's inventory of breads. Interesting for a restaurant boasting to be international therefore wheat and rye, etc must be other, like extraterrestrial? I opted for the bun.

Twenty more minutes pass no new patrons, and one table leaves. After 30 minutes meal arrives. I start eating mine and other person eating as well. Bacon cooked to my liking on club, and other person's food cooked well also.
Sadly no butter or even mayo on the club. 2/3 way through my sandwich Ray reappears and asks about meal. Food good, but I tell him mine is bland, and
strange no dressing on the sandwich or on side. Ray said he could bring some, and I decline as I am almost finished.

Manager type comes in two minutes and as I take the second of last two bites, and tell her about bland taste, she informs that sandwich should have had a basil, pesto dressing and apologizes. I keep cool and thank her and decline the offer of dressing as I eat the last bite.

Bill comes, and I pay full amounts noticing no adjustment offered or done for my sandwich's lack. I pay without argument and Ray returned with change and no receipt. I leave 15% of food bill for tip. As other person finishes meal and we had empty glasses, now Ray offers us refills we decline because we are finished.

Will not return to restaurant because of a 70 minute lunch and no offer to adjust food bill - would be sad if all we had was 30 minutes for lunch. Also perhaps Ray could clean his sockless Pumas off before serving for a more appetizing service or leave food service other person remarked Ray looked uncomfortable - almost in pain I say - when serving. Not one smile from Ray, but two thank you's from him. Rather than penalize Ray, perhaps the owner and management can learn from this review and know what dissatisfied customers do not return, write a review and tell family and friends about dissatisfaction.
